Inner worth: your inner gold.
Reconnecting with our own worth can feel difficult at times because we often internalize beliefs from other lifetimes and past experiences in this one, besides societal expectations, or relationships that made us feel like we had to earn our value rather than recognize it as inherent. Over time, these external voices become internal narratives, like "I'm not enough" or "I have to prove myself", and they cloud our ability to see ourselves clearly.
When you're constantly measuring your worth through productivity, validation, or comparison, it disconnects you from your inner truth. Add to that emotional wounds or trauma, and your nervous system might even associate self-worth with danger or rejection, making it feel safer to stay small.
Your inner truth is the deep, often quiet knowing within you about who you are, what you value, and what feels aligned for you—beyond fear, conditioning, or outside pressure. It’s not what you’ve been told to believe or become, but what resonates deeply in your body, emotions, and spirit when you’re most connected to yourself.
A personal example of how I came to this realization:
I’ve always been praised for being the one who “gets things done” and on being reliable. But deep down, I felt exhausted and resentful. I knew I needed rest, but I kept on pushing. When worth has been tied to how much I do or how useful I am to others, my inner truth—wanting rest— felt selfish and lazy. Reconnecting with my worth here meant realizing: I am valuable even when I’m not producing. My needs matter.
How we outsource our self-worth:
We outsource self-worth when we unconsciously rely on external approval, roles, or results to feel valuable. Common signs include:
Seeking validation through likes, praise, or achievements.
Overgiving or people-pleasing to feel needed or loved.
Overworking to feel “enough.”
Letting others define your path instead of honoring your desires.
Comparing yourself to others as a measure of value.
At the root, it’s often a protective strategy to avoid rejection or shame, but it disconnects us from the truth that worth is internal and unshakable. Reclaiming your self-worth means gently bringing that power back and this is where the Akashic Records can guide you beautifully.
With love,
Manu
